Boat Safety Class
Stay tuned for information about the next Boat Safety Class, which takes place at the Marine Safety Unit, USCG, 555 Plainfield Rd., Willowbrook, IL and runs from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Cost of the materials and class is $35.00. For additional information contact Ronald Carlson, USCG Auxiliary Flotilla 35 Commander at: rwlk4@comcast.net.
This boating class will give you the knowledge needed to obtain a boat license or safety certification in many states. Many boat insurance companies will offer discounts on boating insurance to boaters who successfully complete the "About Boating Safely" class.
Topics include: Introduction to Boating, Boating Law, Boat Safety Equipment, Safe Boating, Navigation, Boating Problems, Trailering, Storing and Protecting Your Boat, Hunting and Fishing, Water-skiing and River Boating. You can read more HERE.
